Directions to Newport Volleyball Club (NVC) in Newport, RI:

From points North:     
    
     
    	   Take Rte. 24 South all the way to Aquidneck Island (AKA 
         Newport County).  Rte. 24 ends and will merge into Rte. 114 
         (AKA West Main Road).  Follow Rte. 114 for 4 approx. 4 miles.  
         Turn right onto Coddington Highway at Navy Lodge (you'll see 
         a D'Angelo's sandwich shop and Burger King at the inter- 
         section on the left).  Enter traffic rotary (about 2 miles) 
         and take your first right (road between 4th Street Diner and 
         Emerald City Coffee) onto Training Station Rd.  Continue on 
         this road until you see the guard shack at the entrance to 
         the Navy base (Wearing seat belts is mandatory).  If there 
         isn't a guard present at the guard shack, you may drive 
         slowly past.  If there is a guard present at the shack,
         YOU MUST STOP.  Simply notify the guard that you are there to 
         play Volleyball in Bldg. 1801 and the guard will let you pass 
         (the guard may ask you for ID, but probably will not).  Once 
         you pass the guard shack, take the first right.  Bear right 
         at the fork and cross the bridge.  Take the first left onto 
         Elliot Ave.  Take a left at stop sign (Chapel on the left).  
         Enter parking lot on you right.  Building 1801 is on your 
         right.  Park in any parking space that DOES NOT have an 
         assigned number or name.
     

From points South/West:
     
    	   Get to Rte. 138 East -- this the road that goes across the 
         Jamestown and Newport($2.00 toll) bridges.  Don't take 2nd 
         exit (the downtown Newport exit) as you come across the 
         Newport bridge.  The road will curve around and bring you out 
         to the Jai Alai building -- bear right at the light.  At the 
         traffic rotary, make your second right (the road between 4th 
         Street Diner and Emerald City Coffee) onto Training Station 
         Rd.  Continue on this road until you see the guard shack at 
         the entrance to the Navy base (Wearing seat belts is 
         mandatory).  If there isn't a guard present at the guard 
         shack, you may drive slowly past.  If there is a guard 
         present at the shack, YOU MUST STOP.  Simply notify the guard 
         that you are there to play Volleyball in Bldg. 1801 and the

         first right.  Bear right at the fork and cross the bridge.  
         Take the first left onto Elliot Ave.  Take a left at stop 
         sign (Chapel on the left).  Enter parking lot on you right.  
         Building 1801 is on your right.  Park in any parking space 
         that DOES NOT have an assigned number or name. 


   A note on the Newport Bridge tolls: buy some tokens instead of
   paying $2 each way.  You can get $10 worth of tolls for only $5.
