Elections for the Yankee Board of Directors will take place this spring. Nominations are now being accepted by
the Election Committee. The accepted procedure for nominations is as follows:
1) By written petition of at least ten members of the Association sent to the Election Committee.
2) By open nomination from the floor at any meeting of the Executive Board after January 1st in an election year.
Nominations will close on April 24.
The commitment is for 2 years. There are usually 6-8 meetings per year which you are expected to attend. You are also expected to help run the Yankee picnic and take an active role in helping to grow the membership.
Half of the positions on the Board are up for election this year and here are the descriptions of those positions:
Vice-President: The Vice-President shall assume the responsibilities of the President in the event of the President's absence, resignation, or incapacity, and shall be responsible for other functions as assigned by the President.
Treasurer: The Treasurer shall submit regular written financial reports to the Executive Board.
3 At-Large Representatives: There shall be a total of five (5) At-Large Representatives, who shall have no assigned responsibilities other than to attend Executive Board meetings and provide additional representation for the General Membership, but may take on Appointed Positions or other functions as assigned by the President.
The 3 At-Large Representative positions open for nominations are currently held by Krissy Norrman, Sander Gates and Dave Mello.
