Manual adjustments to rosters will be available until May 20th at 11:59PM ET. Any additions to your roster after this date will need to be done onsite at check-in, and will result in a $50/person fee. Avoid this charge by emailing USAV before the event!

Seeding Form Date: 5/11/2023

Please help USAV seed this tournament as accurately as possible! The Seeding Form needs to be submitted by May 11th, 2023. Please CLICK HERE to fill out the seeding form.

*Please note that all teams must be checked in by 9 p.m. on their designated registration day. Failure to check in WILL results in forfeiture of your first match or set.

** All teams will play at least one match on the last day of your play schedule

Roster Approval Process for Nationals:

Beginning December 1, captains planning on attending nationals may submit their planned rosters to the head of their gender's ratings committee for approval.

Any players whose ratings change after a roster is approved will not affect the team's eligibility to play in Nationals at the approved level. 

This approval will only apply to nationals and not to other Yankee tournaments including regionals.  

Any subsequent replacements or additions the roster will require resubmission.

If a proposed roster includes players with unknown ratings or players who have not played in many tournaments the committee may choose to defer approval until the players have been observed more and their ratings verified.  If the roster includes players that the committee anticipates uprating prior to Nationals the roster will not be approved if the rating changes put the team over the mappings limit.

Nationals/US Open Ratings:
**New for 2023 USAV Open Nationals** Yankee is no longer limiting rosters based on individual player ratings. However we are advising to use our previous Rating Restrictions to determine the proper level of competition for your team. The US Open are the same as Regionals for single gender tournaments (see below) except there is no minimum required for the US Open.

Player Memberships:
All Players need a full season membership, a Single Event Membership in not accepted

Out of Region Players:
You can bring out of region players on your team, however the roster needs to still be approved by the Ratings Committee, so it is best to have that player play if possible a few times in the NERVA Region to ensure the team fits within the Rating's limits. A Team needs to be at least 50% from the region they are entering from. For Roster updating on AES, you will need their USAV number which they have through their region's membership system. Regionals Rating Guidelines:
 

**New for 2023 Nationals, there are no more restrictions, please use our previous restrictions as guidelines to which division your team should be competing in. Any Yankee run USAV Format tournament run in the Spring of 2023 will still adhere to these rating restrictions**

 
Men's AA: No limit
Men's A: 2 A, 4 A-, the rest below
    (An A+ will be allowed IF they take fewer A/A- players)
    Minimum for A/AA: 41 points
    (exceptions will be made for teams playing A or AA at nationals)
Men's BB: 1 A-, 3 B+ OR 5 B+, the rest B or below
    Minimum for BB: 35 points
    (exceptions will be made for teams playing BB at nationals)
Men's B: 1 B+, 3 B, the rest B- and below     OR         5 B, the rest B- and below.
    Minimum for B: 27 points (exceptions will be made for teams playing B at nationals)

Women's AA: No limit
Women's A: 1 A, 5 A-, the rest B+ or below
